I worked in public schools as an Associate Psychologist/Psychological Examiner, Director of Services for Disabled Students at a Junior College, and in Private Practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Psychological Examiner over a career of 28 years. I was also an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) as a first responder for medical emergencies in the area where I lived.
Because psychology, the study of human behavior, was my career, I know how human behavior changes during an emergency and what families need to feel “normal” during that time. I know how to bring back “normalcy”.
I have been a writer all my adult life as writing psychological reports was demanding and critical to be correct because they changed people’s lives. I know the importance of research and truthful reporting.
Being an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), gives me medical knowledge to instruct others how to deal with medical care in emergency situations.
